StacyCake’s greatest love is simply this: Songwriting

She just released her first single entitled Your Embrace!

Here’s Your Embrace on Spotify and on iTunes and Apple Music

She’s also recently completed a new song entitled Neskowin Parade in collaboration with Nashville singer/songwriter Kristin Andreassen, and has performed her other original works around the Willamette Valley.

With origins as a chemistry graduate of University of Minnesota and Colorado State University, she currently studies music (composition, guitar, piano, voice) at Western Oregon University (Go Wolves!) and lives in Corvallis, Oregon.

StacyCake’s artist name originates from her first and middle names, which were also merged into the cute, girly nickname “Stacycakes” at a very young age, in case you’re wondering where her twitter name @stacycaker originates.

After working as a discovery research scientist and chemistry educator, restoring her antique dream home and volunteering on a variety of community service ventures, her passion for songwriting and musical creative expression suddenly diverted her path DIRECTLY toward singer/songwriter and musician. She still currently straddles both scientific and creative worlds as chemistry instructor on the university campus where she studies.
